A Songping is a mini song — about 20–30 seconds — that you fire off to make any occasion extra special, including when you want more than an emoji. Describe a moment (an apology, a birthday, a crush, a thank-you), pick a vibe, and we write original lyrics and sing them back in a minute. It's made to be shared: texted, posted, or sent to the one person who needs to hear it.

Think of a Songping as the bite-sized version: short, punchy, and built to be shared in the moment — perfect for texting and posting. A full song is longer, around 3 minutes, with more verses and a fuller arrangement, for when you want the whole story. Same studio, same quality — a Songping is just the quick, spontaneous one. Think of it as a super sharable, mini music video -- one that will actually be watched because it's just 30 seconds, a perfect length for getting views on TikTok and other social media.

Yes — every Songping is one of a kind. The lyrics are written fresh from your idea and the music is generated, never stitched together from stock clips or royalty-free samples. Two people with similar ideas still get different songs.

The more specific you are, the better the song. In the idea box, try to include:

• Who it's for and from — a name makes it personal.
• The occasion or feeling — birthday, apology, big crush, “I'm proud of you.”
• One true detail or inside joke — the thing only the two of you would get. Specifics are what make people laugh or tear up.
• The tone you want — funny, sweet, dramatic, or hype.

Then pick a genre and voice that match the mood. There's a full rundown in the Creator tips box at the bottom of this page (and on the Create screen).

Each Songping you create uses one credit. You get a few free to start — 3 when you arrive, then 1 a week — and you can buy more in packs whenever you want. We sell credits in packs rather than charging per song, so there are no surprise per-song fees; you just spend from your balance. See the pricing page for current packs.

Free Songpings expire 30 days after you receive them (each batch on its own timer), so use them while they're fresh — we'll show a reminder when they're about to go. Songpings you buy never expire. And if a song ever fails to generate, that credit goes straight back to your balance.

You keep ownership of what you put in — your idea, any name, and any photo (that's your content). The songs and videos themselves are generated by AI from your inputs, and you're free to use and share them for personal, lawful purposes.

To run the service, we keep a license to store and process your creations, and the YourSongs name, app, and design stay ours. The full details are in our Terms.

A few things that help the most:

• Make it for one specific person. The most shareable songs are personal — the recipient becomes the one who shows everyone.
• Be specific and a little bold. Real names, inside jokes, and a clear emotion travel further than generic.
• Add a Photo Video. Vertical video is built for TikTok and Instagram — crop your photo tight so the subject really pops on the stage.
• Post it where the moment lives. Text it first for the genuine reaction, then share to TikTok or Instagram with a caption that sets up the story.
• Make a few and post the best. Try a couple and keep the one that makes you laugh out loud.

Keep it kind and lawful. No hateful, harassing, or sexual content involving minors, nothing that impersonates or targets someone to harm them, and only upload photos and use names you have permission to use. We screen every idea before a song is made and may refuse anything that crosses the line. See our Terms for the full list.

You can add YourSongs to your home screen so it opens with one tap, just like an app — no app store needed. The steps depend on your browser:

• iPhone or iPad — Safari: tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down, and choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
• iPhone or iPad — Chrome or DuckDuckGo: tap the share icon (in Chrome it's next to the address bar; in DuckDuckGo it's in the menu), then choose Add to Home Screen.
• Android — Chrome: tap the three-dot menu in the top right, then choose Add to Home screen.
• Android — DuckDuckGo: tap the three-dot menu, then choose Add to Home Screen.

The icon opens YourSongs in your usual browser, so your songs and Songpings come right along with you.
